Orange County Mayor Demings’ Multi-Modal Commute to Work Day

TIME: 8:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.

As part of this year’s Mobility Week, Mayor Demings will travel by SunRail to work and then walk to the County Administration Building. He is encouraging other County staff to try another mode (e.g., bus, train, bike, walk, carpool) that week.

Very Scary Walking Audit

TIME: 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.

Help us make Casselberry a more walkable City! Join us on Halloween for a walking audit of all of North Triplet Lake Drive. We’ll meet just outside the Casselberry Recreation Center at 9:00 a.m. and will walk the corridor together to identify obstacles to a safe and comfortable walk and ideas to overcome them! The walk will be about 2 miles roundtrip.

Palm Coast Nature Walk & Helmet Fitting
Safety Awareness Event

TIME: 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.

Take a free, guided walk along Palm Coast’s trail system – from the Palm Coast Community Center trailhead, down St. Joe’s Walkway, past Linear Park and back – and learn about the interconnectivity of Palm Coast’s parks, trails, and residential and commercial areas. River to Sea TPO will fit bicycle helmets to adults and children at the event

City of Apopka Senior Stroll

Join the City of Apopka and FDOT's Safe Mobility for Life Coalition for a safety presentation followed by a stroll. Senior citizens will enjoy a safety seminar series and a stroll in Kit Land Nelson Park, followed by refreshments and visiting vendor tables.

Multimodal Transportation Workshop –
Mobility as a Service

TIME: 1:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m.

Please join the Florida Department of Transportation to learn about Mobility as a Service (MaaS), an emerging concept that leverages technology to create shared mobility solutions – from cars to mass transportation, bikes and scooters. At this workshop you’ll learn about the latest trends in implementing MaaS and hear from public and private agencies locally on how these trends will continue to shape transportation in the Central Florida region.
