Orange County Traffic Engineering Carpool Day

Orange County Traffic Engineering will be commuting from East Orlando to the Public Works Administration Building as part of the Mobility Week Mix-It-Up Challenge.

Central Florida Transportation Planning Group (CFTPG) Meeting  –  **SOLD OUT**
GOAA South Airport Complex & Multimodal Connections

TIME: 11:30 a.m.–1:50 p.m.

Orlando International Airport is on the forefront of US airport development for seamless multi-modal transportation development. Come hear about the first phases of the South Airport Complex development – as well as the Master Planning that has taken place to set up for future modes of transportation to come together in one complex, on airport property and walkable to the airline terminal. A one of a kind experience with panelists from GOAA, Virgin Trains, and LYNX, followed by a guided tour of the new complex and its sustainable features – since it’s also the first LEED V4 Building in the State of Florida.

RouteShout 2.0 Training and Route Planning

TIME: 7:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m.

Join LakeXpress travel trainers, who will be at the Citizens Blvd. Transfer Center, to learn about the new features of the Route Shout 2.0 mobile app as well as how to read the schedules and maps.

FDOT Multimodal Mobility and Safety Assessments

TIME: 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

FDOT will be conducting multimodal mobility and safety assessments on US 92 from US 1 to Halifax Drive in Volusia County to determine mobility and safety improvements. All the local partners will be extended an invitation to join in the assessment effort.

White Cane Awareness Event

TIME: 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

The National Federation of the Blind in partnership with local agencies will host a White Cane Awareness Event to generate awareness of the Florida White Cane Law and the dangers and fears of visually impaired pedestrians. The event will include a walk through all four crosswalks of the intersection of Wilder Boulevard and Ridgewood Avenue in Daytona Beach.

Florida’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Coalition Quarterly Meeting

TIME: 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.

This is the quarterly meeting of the members of Florida’s statewide multiagency coalition dedicated to eliminating bicyclist and pedestrian fatalities in Florida. Together this team works on our Pedestrian & Bicycle Strategic Safety Plan emphasis areas to form a comprehensive approach to safety and includes Highway and Traffic Engineering, Enforcement and Emergency Services, Data Collection and Analysis, Education and Communication, as well as Policy, Legislation, Driver Education and Licensing. All of these components are critical and work together to address safety. This is an invitation only event.
