Program Management

Welcome

Program Management at FDOT refers to the coordinated effort to manage and oversee various transportation projects, initiatives, and strategic endeavors that contribute to the overall goals of improving Florida's transportation system within each District.

District Program Management responsibilities include maintaining the Work Program, providing project schedules and project cost throughout project development, and ensuring quality bid packages, including plans and specifications, are provided to the Contracts Office for letting.  District Program Management also administers Local Programs projects and other special projects, as well as provide Geographic Information Systems (GIS) products and services.

Central Office Program Management has been retooled as the Forecasting and Performance Office to focus on elevating the importance of project cost and being innovative in our approach to forecasting, while embracing project management as a profession, especially for major and mega projects. Local Programs continues to provide oversight and monitoring for transportation projects performed by Local Agencies.
