About the Work Program

Welcome to the Florida Department of Transportation, District Seven’s Tentative Five-Year Work Program Online Public Hearing.

Check back soon for information regarding the Tentative Five-Year Work Program Online Public Hearing for Fiscal Years 2026 through 2030.

The Five-Year Work Program is our plan for transportation system improvements programmed during the next five years. The Five-Year Work Program includes planning activities, preliminary engineering, right of way acquisition, construction and public transportation projects within Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough Counties planned by FDOT and the Florida Turnpike Enterprise.

The current Adopted Five-Year Work Program covers Fiscal Years 2025 through 2029 (projects programmed July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029) and was adopted on July 1, 2024.

The Tentative Work Program includes projects scheduled for Fiscal Years 2027 through 2031 (projects programmed July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2031). The Tentative Work Program will be available for public review and comments beginning October 20, 2025. After public comments have been received by November 3, 2025, the Work Program will be reviewed by the Florida Legislature and Governor, then adopted by the State Secretary of Transportation on July 1, 2026.

This website serves as our on-line public hearing, which begins Monday, October 20, 2025. You are encouraged to review the projects and provide comments. All comments must be received by Monday, November 3, 2025 in order to become part of the official record.

We are hosting a Districtwide Open House on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Temple Terrace Public Library (202 Bullard Pkwy, Temple Terrace, FL 33617). During the open house you will be able to review interactive maps and submit written comments.

The comment period for the 2027-2031 Tentative Five-Year Work Program will begin on Monday, October 20, 2025.

The comment period for the 2027-2031 Tentative Five-Year Work Program ended on Monday, November 3, 2025.

Comments can be submitted two ways:

  1. Online: Fill out the form below and click the “Submit” button to submit a comment.
  2. US Mail: Address comments to Steve Drum, Work Program Administrator, Florida Department of Transportation District Seven, 11201 N. McKinley Drive, MS 7-350, Tampa, FL 33612

All comments must be submitted, or postmarked, by Monday, November 3, 2025 in order to become part of the official record.
