FDOT Accessing Transit Facilities Design Handbook Workshops:

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Public Transit Office is conducting a workshop on version IV (2023) of FDOT’s Accessing Transit: Design Handbook for Florida Bus Passenger Facilities,

The Accessing Transit Handbook serves as a primary reference for design standards and best practices for bus passenger facility roadway designs in Florida. This workshop will include materials and information relevant to FDOT planning, design, and operations offices, local government engineering and permitting agencies, and local transit operators. It will also include interactive activities to engage participants on the materials learned throughout the workshop.

We are offering seven workshops in 2024, one in each FDOT District. Please select the date and location that is convenient for you and register below. This workshop will cover the completely redesigned and updated 2023 Accessing Transit Handbook. Attendees of past Accessing Transit workshops are encouraged to attend.

The 2023 Accessing Transit Handbook is now available for download from the FDOT Public Transit Office website.  A copy of the workshop presentation will be made available to participants before each session.

Note that applications for PDH and AICP credits for participating in this workshop will be submitted.
