FDOT Public Transit Office

The mission of the FDOT Transit Office is to "identify, support, advance and manage cost effective, efficient and safe transportation systems and alternatives to maximize the passenger carrying capacity of surface transportation facilities." The FDOT Transit Office consists of three sections: Grants and Procurement, Transit Operations, and Transit Planning, each of which has specific areas of responsibility.

In partnership with public transportation providers statewide, the FDOT Public Transit Office strives to provide reliable , safe, and cost effective access to those who live, work, learn, and play in Florida. Our vision is to create a better travel experience with viable and reliable options to driving for residents and visitors to Florida.

To assist Florida urban NTD reporters in ensuring the accuracy of their reports, FDOT is sponsoring this free NTD data collection and reporting seminar.
