The Seaport Office works with Florida's deepwater seaports to assist in planning and funding strategic seaport projects, as well as assisting with seaport-related issues. The Office is responsible for statewide seaport system planning, coordinating with statewide freight planning, project management, and coordinating seaport infrastructure projects with Florida's 16 publicly owned seaports.

The Seaport Office is one of 5 divisions under the  Modal Development Office, along with  Aviation Office,  Freight and Rail Office, Public Transit Office, and the  Spaceport Office.

Our Mission:

The Seaport Office is responsible for developing the Seaport and Waterways System Plan, which works in concert with other FDOT plans to guide funding decisions in Florida's transportation system.

Our Vision:

In coordination with other FDOT offices (e.g., Districts, other modes, SIS) and Seaports, to identify and prioritize seaport projects to develop funding proposals and administer seaport grant programs once decisions have been rendered.

Our Goals:

To partner with the Seaports on infrastructure projects and planning efforts to ensure the State has the necessary cargo and cruise capacity to serve Florida's residents, visitors, and businesses.
