The I-75 Queue Warning System project by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is aimed at enhancing safety on I-75 in Marion and Sumter counties. This system uses Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technology to detect traffic queues and stopped vehicles, and then provides advance warnings to drivers about unsafe conditions ahead.

WHEN CRASHES OR QUEUEING IS DETECTED, UPSTREAM LED FLASHING BEACONS ATTACHED TO ROADSIDE WARNING SIGNS ARE ACTIVATED.
