SR-869/SW 10th St. Connector TSM&O SWZP

The project will implement smart work zone (SWZ) applications for advanced traveler information and remote monitoring of the nearby arterial corridors during the construction of SW 10th Street and I-95 Design-Build projects. The project will deploy arterial TSM&O and Connected Vehicle (CV) equipment along the surrounding 7 corridors: US 1, Dixie Highway, Military Trail, Powerline Road, Hillsboro Boulevard, 48th Street, and Sample Road. When construction is over, all the installed permanent infrastructure will be leveraged for regional arterial management. Initial SWZ applications planned for implementation are (1) Work Zone Ahead Alert, (2) Traffic Queue Warning, (3) Travel Time Advisory, (4) Alternate Route(s) Advisory, and (5) Speed Limit Advisory.
