Welcome to the District Three Tentative Work Program

This website provides detailed information regarding the Work Program Public Hearing (WPPH) for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Three’s Tentative Work Program. Here you will find information about the schedule, highlighted projects, public involvement and the Five Year Work Program. Check back often, as this website will be updated regularly.

The Five-Year Work Program is our plan for transportation system improvements programmed during the next five years. The Five-Year Work Program includes planning activities, preliminary engineering, right-of-way acquisition, construction and public transportation projects within the following 16 counties: Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Wakulla, Walton and Washington.

The Tentative Five-Year Work Program includes projects scheduled for Fiscal Years 2022/23 through 2026/27 (projects programmed July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027). After the public comment period ends, the Tentative Work Program is reviewed by the Florida Legislature and the Governor, which is then adopted by the State Secretary of Transportation on July 1, 2022.

Work Program Public Hearing Information

This year FDOT District Three will hold a virtual (online) and in-person public hearing to present the Tentative Program of Work for Fiscal Years July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (Central), to which all persons are invited.  FDOT Staff will be available during this time to discuss the District's Tentative Work Program and answer questions.

The comment period for the 2023-2027 Tentative Five-Year Work Program will open on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. To provide a comment please use the comment form below or email District 3 directly

Written comments can be sent to Mr. Phillip Gainer, P.E., District Secretary, FDOT District Three, Post Office Box 607, Chipley, FL 32428.  Comments must be submitted or postmarked by Friday October 15, 2021 to be a part of the official record.

PURPOSE: This Public Hearing was conducted pursuant to Section 339.135(4)(c), Florida Statutes. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider the Department's Tentative Work Program for District Three, for the period 2022/2023 through 2026/2027, and to consider the necessity of making any changes to the program.
