Conflict of Interest - DRB Questions & Answers

Question 1:
I am a member on an active DRB and the CEI firm for that contract asks me to perform constructability reviews during the design phase. Is it a conflict of interest for me to participate on the design contract with the CEI firm?

Guidance:
As long as you divulge to the board members, the contractor, and FDOT for the project on which you are a DRB member and neither contractor nor FDOT objected, you would not have a problem with continuing with service on the DRB and accepting the constructability review task from the CEI firm, since what you would be doing would be for the design side and the DRB deals with the CEI side.
