Land Title


Land title staff are responsible for identifying owners and others who hold an interest in property to be acquired. Owners are identified from the public records of the county where properties are located. Public records research will be conducted by district land title staff or will be obtained from private title companies. The information is used to prepare the deeds and other documents necessary to transfer real estate title to the Department.
