Here are the various transportation options available in Southeast Florida. Choose your favorite mode of transportation to find out more information and resources related to that mode, then take the transportation challenge.

Rail

Explore Tri-Rail, providing service along a 72-mile corridor in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. There are a total of eighteen stations.

All have shuttle services to/from Tri-Rail stations to other major destinations.


Bus

Bus

Ride around South Florida without having to worry about parking or the cost of gasoline. Use the following options based on the county you live in:

Broward County Transit
Offering fixed route bus, express and community buses and paratransit (door-to-door) services in Broward County.

Indian River County Transit–GoLine
Serves Indian River County through 15 fixed routes. A door-to-bus stop connector is available for riders without access to a GoLine bus stop.

Martin County Public Transit
Serves Martin County with connectivity to St. Lucie County and a Commuter Express Route that offers connectivity to Palm Beach County.

Palm Tran
Palm Tran operates fixed-route and demand response services in Palm Beach County.

Treasure Coast Connector
Community Transit, a division of Council on Aging of St. Lucie, Inc. (COASL), provides fixed route and demand response services in St. Lucie County.

I-95 Express Bus
Several express bus routes are operated by Broward County Transit and Miami-Dade Transit along I-95 express lanes to accommodate peak hour travel.

I-595 Express Bus
The 595 Express Bus provides service along I-595 from the BB&T Center park & ride in Sunrise and the Davie park & ride. BB&T service travels to downtown Miami/Brickell and Miami Civic Center.

Many of these agencies also offer complimentary on-call services for individuals who are not able to use the regular fixed route bus service because of a disability, age or other limitations.

Ridesharing

Telework

Telework

Telework is a work arrangement whereby employees are allowed to perform the normal duties and responsibilities of their positions through the use of computers or telecommunications, at home or another place apart from the employees' usual place of work. Ask your supervisor or human resources staff if you can telework during Mobility Week.

Bicycling

Bicycling is one of the most utilized modes of active transportation in Southeast Florida. Thousands of Southeast Florida residents bike to work as their primary mode or use their bikes in conjunction with bus/rail.

Walking and Bicycling Safety

Under Florida law, a bicycle is considered a vehicle, and is entitled to share the road with cars, trucks and other vehicles. Become familiar with state traffic laws that apply to bicycles and pedestrians.
