SR 5/US 1 at SR 838/Sunrise Blvd Gateway PD&E Study

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four has initiated a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study that is evaluating intersection alternatives at and along SR 5/US-1/Federal Highway and SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard that could reduce traffic congestion and delays, and improve multimodal mobility and safety in the eastern Broward County area, within the City of Fort Lauderdale.
The project intersection is commonly known as the “Gateway” intersection. The project study area consists of SR-5/US-1 at SR-838/Sunrise Boulevard to NE 15th Avenue on the west, to NE 24th Avenue/Bayview on the east, and to NE 13th Street on the north. First Alternatives Public Workshop
