The Information Security Management (ISM) Office responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Planning to protect FDOT’s IT Assets and Data, Develop Policy and Procedures, Ensure compliance with Florida Cybersecurity Standards (F.A.C. 60GG-2)

Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Response: Take preventative steps to prevent cybersecurity incidents, Monitor for signs of breach, Proactive Cyber Hunting.

Vulnerability Management: Identity Missing Patches or End of Life Software, Coordinate with Technical Staff to Patch.

Awareness and Training: Increase Cybersecurity Awareness of FDOT Staff

System Risk Assessment: Review systems being developed or bought for potential cybersecurity risk, Identify changes to make systems more secure.

The FDOT Enterprise Security team [FDOT Security] responsibilities:

Identity Management: Support for the Department’s identity management system to ensure all requests for access to FDOT IT resources are documented, along with approvals and rejections.

Security Support: Provide training and assistance for Office of Information Technology (OIT) Security Coordinators statewide. Review & update Methods & Practices (M&P), the OIT Manual and other security training materials, identity management system issues, and security DocuSign PowerForms.

User Provisioning: Provisioning users and service accounts for Central Office, Provisioning for statewide systems such as external FTP (File Transfer Protocol), Enterprise Resource active directory security groups, along with CO and statewide Distribution Groups.

FDOT Security Inbox: Respond to emails received statewide from internal and external users on numerous security topics/issues.

RACF/Mainframe Support: Training assistance and troubleshooting RACF/Mainframe issues for users.

Service Desk tickets: Handle all security related tickets for things such as password assistance, active directory security updates, for Central Office users and statewide services supported by the team.
