The Florida Department of Transportation Contracts Administration Office advertises and awards federally funded road and bridge construction contracts. State funded construction contracts and all maintenance contracts are advertised and awarded by the District Contracts Administration Offices. The Contracts Administration Office also manages the prequalification process for road and bridge contractors seeking to bid on contracts in excess of $250,000.

Hurricane Debris Removal InformationThe Department requires contractors who are interested in assisting with removal of debris resulting from hurricane events to be prequalified in the Work Class of Debris Removal (Emergency). Information on how to become prequalified is provided on the Contracts Office website- http://www.fdot.gov/contracts/PreQual_Info/prequalified.shtm. New Bidding Software for FDOTEffective with the September 2017 Lettings, FDOT began using the AASHTOWare Project Bids™ software instead of Expedite®. Bidders will need to contact Bid Express and obtain a new Digital ID to use the new software. Bidders who already have a digital ID for Expedite, will not be charged a fee for a new Digital ID . Electronic Contracting at FDOTFDOT is initiating the use of program which will use the DocuSign® application, as a part of the Department's electronic contracting and paperless initiatives. The DocuSign® application will be used as the mechanism to transmit and execute contract documents for Road and Bridge Construction and Maintenance contracts. Beginning with the August 2016 lettings, the Department's staff and the contractors will transmit and execute contract documents using the DocuSign® application products purchased by the Department. Reviewed Financial Statements accepted for project up to $1,000,000Effective July 1, 2012, applicants seeking prequalification to bid on road and bridge construction projects up to $1,000,000 can apply by submitting financial statements "Reviewed" by a Certified Public Accountant. All other requirements of Rule 14-22, F.A.C. still apply. Therefore, the application and financial statements must be submitted within 4 months of the applicant's fiscal year end. Applications must be submitted online using the Prequalification Application.
