FDOT Connected and Automated Vehicle Program Overview
FDOT and its research and industry partners are focused on the implementation of technology to help all roadway users make more informed and safer decisions. Through a variety of initiatives ranging from traffic signal prioritization to advanced warnings, the Florida’s CAV program is working to improve safety, mobility, and economic development for those who live, work, and play in the Sunshine State. Gainesville Signal Phase and Timing (SPaT) Trapezium Project Overview
FDOT has partnered with the City of Gainesville to deploy connected vehicle technologies and applications on four roads around the University of Florida’s campus to test the effectiveness of connected vehicle technologies to improve travel time, safety, and vehicle throughput.
