Project Description

The project involves the design and construction of the C.R. 714/SW Martin Highway realignment to create a new signalized intersection at S.R. 710/SW Warfield Boulevard and C.R. 15B/SE 126th Boulevard in Martin and Okeechobee Counties. The project also includes widening S.R. 710 from two lanes to four lanes between the Martin/Okeechobee County line and C.R. 15B/SE 126th Boulevard to accommodate the proposed intersection configuration and improve overall traffic operations and roadway capacity within the project corridor.

Project Objectives

The project objectives are as follows:

  • Realign C.R. 714 from its existing terminus at S.R. 710 to provide a new two-lane roadway and create a four-leg intersection with SE 126th Boulevard
  • Install a new traffic signal and roadway lighting at the intersection of S.R. 710/SW Warfield Boulevard and C.R. 714/SW Martin Highway/C.R. 15B/SE 126th Boulevard
  • Widen S.R. 710 from two lanes to four lanes between the Martin/Okeechobee County line and C.R. 15B/SE 126th Boulevard
  • Provide exclusive eastbound and westbound left-turn and right-turn lanes at the new intersection with C.R. 15B/SE 126th Boulevard
  • Construct a new drainage system to support the proposed roadway improvements
