Big News!
A big thank you to the City of Orlando and the City of Casselberry for adopting proclamations supporting Mobility Week.

Mobility Week Event Leads to Positive Outcome
The City of Casselberry conducted a “Walking Audit”
as part of Mobility Week 2017.
The audit was conducted along city streets from City Hall to Sunnytown Park, covering key historic and cultural destinations including the historic Evergreen Cemetery. The audit team consisted of Casselberry City Commissioner Bill Hufford, city planning and engineering staff, the Florida Department of Transportation, and other community representatives. The walking audit was intended to raise awareness of walking conditions along city streets, and to help identify pedestrian issues.
Since the audit, the city has completed a new pedestrian crossing across Cypress Way linking the public sidewalk to historic Evergreen Cemetery. The city’s Deputy Public Works Director Kelly Brock led this effort and said, “As a result of the audit, we improved accessibility across Cypress Way by removing the old wooden footbridge that had a raised curb as an obstacle. We replaced it with ADA compliant ramps.” The city is continuing to work on other improvements identified as part of the audit.
