Stormwater Asset Management Systems

Overview

As part of E-Maintenance, the FDOT Central Office is developing a Geographic Information System (GIS) based statewide Stormwater Asset Management System (SAMS). The system is mobile device compatible, including smart phones and tablets, and provides for electronic data entry during field inspections, as well as inventory of new or existing facilities. The system streamlines reporting functions and requirements under FDOT’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits using office- and field-based viewers and reporting tools.
