How to Report Fraud
Call when you think...
...someone is using DOT property or people for personal gain;
...someone is intentionally misleading DOT for financial gain;
...someone is taking some benefit to "look the other way"; or
...you're not sure if you should call to report suspicions.

- A moving/transport company:
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) regulations protect consumers who are moving interstate, and define the rights and responsibilities of consumers and the household goods carriers they hire. - A vehicle dealer:
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) regulates vehicle dealers. For additional information, and to file a complaint online, you can visit the DHSMV website at: https://www.flhsmv.gov/safety-center/consumer-education/consumer-complaints/
- Commercial motor vehicles:
Businesses and individuals who operate commercial motor vehicles to transport passengers or cargo in commerce must comply with applicable laws and safety regulations, enforced by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV), Office of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE). - Rideshare companies (such as Uber and Lyft):
These companies are regulated by the Department of Financial Services, Insurance Regulation. If you would like to file a complaint about a rideshare company, you can do so by emailing email@example.com.
