The Florida Department of Transportation serves as a member of the Southern Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (SASHTO). Each year, the remaining monies from the annual SASHTO Conference are divided among the member states to promote scholarship programs in their state. SASHTO funded scholarships are awarded each year to promote engineering education; however, all eligible students are welcomed and encouraged to apply.

2024 SASHTO Application
The SASHTO Scholarship application will be open to applicants on April 1st and will close on April 30th.
SASHTO Important Dates
| April 1st to May 2nd | SASHTO Application Period |
| May 2nd at 11:59 PM (EST) | Applications must be received by 11:59 Eastern Standard Time on May 2nd to be accepted |
| Early May | FDOT Scholarship Selection Committees receive and evaluate eligible applications |
| Mid May to Early June | SASHTO Scholarship winners are announced and presented across the state (specific dates to be determined by location) |
