While interns are temporary employees of the Department, they are required to comply with all statutes and rules; and the Department's policies, procedures, regulations, and Code of Ethics.

INTERNSHIP CALENDAR
Internships operate per academic calendar year. Internships operate per academic year. The duration of participation is one (1) semester; however, participants may be reappointed up until graduation.
The program's semesters run in conjunction with the summer, fall, and spring semesters of Florida colleges and universities. The Internship Calendar is established annually and specifies the application windows during which the Department will accept applications, start dates, and semester end dates as follows:

Pay:This is a paid internship program.The hourly pay scale is based on the student's current academic status and is limited to an average of 10 hours per week. Pay scale as follows:

Eligibility:
In order to apply, you must be:
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
- Academic status of Freshman or above
- Authorized to work in the United States
