Legislative Programs
Welcome to Legislative Programs
The Legislative Programs Office (LPO) is the central point of contact for state elected officials and their staff for information regarding transportation issues, FDOT’s programs, legislation, and constituent inquiries. LPO directs and coordinates FDOT’s legislative lobbying efforts, planning, policy, and budgetary analyses and recommendations on legislative issues. LPO also works with members and staff of the Florida House of Representatives, Florida Senate, Executive Office of the Governor, state agencies, and other interested parties.
FDOT has a decentralized structure that is unique when compared to other state agencies. Specifically, the law provides for a Central Office, seven regional offices known as Districts, and a Turnpike Enterprise located in Orange County.
