FDOT Approved Specialty Engineers (List for Contractor use on Projects with Structures)

In addition to the Consultant firms prequalified for structural services under Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 14-75, the Department also maintains a list of individual Specialty Engineers who may provide structural design services for construction contractors. Reference Specification Section 1 at FDOT Standard Specifications.

Specialty Engineers are approved to work on FDOT projects.  (For the definition of a Specialty Engineer, see Specification Section 1 at FDOT Standard Specifications)

In addition to the approved Specialty Engineers listed below, FDOT pre-qualified Engineering Consultants that are authorized by Type of Work (4.1 thru 4.4) to perform structures design may provide Specialty Engineer services in lieu of a approved Specialty Engineer.

Submit resume for review and approval to FDOT-SpecialtyEngineer@dot.state.fl.us 

Specialty Engineer resumes are evaluated consistent with engineering consultant prequalification, refer to FDOT Procurement’s website for Prequalification Applications for further information and sample resume format. Resumes are processed in the order they are received. The typical timeframe for processing is 2 – 4 weeks.
