FDOT Engineering Laws and Rules

 

This course is only available to Professional Engineers employed with the Department of Transportation. The course will review statutes and rules regarding the practice of engineering, and changes since the preceding renewal cycle ending February 28, 2013.


The course itself will be conducted via GoToTraining and will take 60 minutes (including time for questions and answers). This will be followed by a multiple choice test. Please note that attendance will be closely monitored and for full attendance, the training screen must remain as the active screen for the duration of the course. With full attendance and a passing test score (70% or greater), students will be awarded one (1) Professional Development Hour (PDH), which will fulfill the continuing education requirement for Laws and Rules as required by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers for this renewal period (ending February 28, 2017).

 

Training will be offered beginning in September of 2016, with multiple offerings for the remainder of the renewal period.

FDOT Engineering Ethics

 

This course is only available to Professional Engineers employed with the Department of Transportation. The course will present general Engineering Ethics applicable to the practice of engineering.

 

The course itself will be conducted via GoToTraining and will take 60 minutes (including time for questions and answers). This will be followed by a multiple choice test. Please note that attendance will be closely monitored and for full attendance, the training screen must remain as the active screen for the duration of the course. With full attendance and a passing test score (70% or greater), students will be awarded one (1) Professional Development Hour (PDH), which will fulfill the continuing education requirement for Engineering Ethics as required by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers for this renewal period (ending February 28, 2017).
