Licensing and Frequency Coordination

The TSM&O Program assists all Districts and Florida's Turnpike Enterprise by maintaining and managing FDOT's Federal Communications Commission radio licenses. New applications, modifications, renewals and frequency coordination services are available. Highway advisory radio (both AM and FM), motorist aid call boxes, SunPass® toll collection and the construction/maintenance low band system are typical examples. FDOT holds over 400 individual FCC licenses.
