Transportation Technology is responsible for the alignment of information and operational technology for the Florida Department of Transportation. This unit is responsible for the strategy and operations of the department’s technology environment in direct support of the agency’s mission.


Transportation Technology prioritizes all technology projects ensuring enterprise coordination and management of technology and technology resources that directly deliver the core mission of the department. This unit's resources bolster safety and connectivity on Florida roadways by aligning technology and data; automating services; creating enterprise data and technology standards; and enhancing cyber security, thereby mitigating risks resulting from emerging technologies.

 Florida Division for State Technology
The Agency for State Technology (AST) was established in 2014 by the Florida Legislature to develop and publish information technology policy for the management of the state’s information technology resources, oversee the state’s essential technology projects, manage the State Data Center, and to house Florida's Chief Information Officer.  As of May 2019, the Agency for State Technology was incorporated into the Department of Management Services as the Division of State Technology (DST).
