Atlantic Coast Line Train Depot at Mount Dora 1920

ACL at Mount Dora (36 k)

The Mount Dora train depot was completed in 1915 at a cost of $8,223. At that time, the Atlantic Coast Line (ACL) operated two passenger trains daily in each direction. By 1922, the schedule increased to four mixed trains (mail, freight, and passenger cars) daily. The ACL discontinued service to Mount Dora in 1950 and today the depot serves as the offices of the city's Chamber of Commerce.
