Business Systems Support Office - BSSO

Glendora Fortune is the manager of the Business Systems Support Office, also referred to as BSSO. BSSO manages the enterprise computer applications and data that support the Department's critical business functions. This includes application planning, design, development, implementation, support, and maintenance. BSSO promotes the integration of critical enterprise data with essential Departmental business processes. We partner with the user-community to determine the best technical solutions to meet business needs in the most efficient and expedient manner. BSSO provides analysis and recommendations for streamlining, improving, and automating departmental business processes and manages contracts and resources supporting enterprise business applications.

Application Development & Application ProducTion Support (ADAPTS)
The Application Development & Application Production Support team is responsible for the stewardship of the enterprise application portfolio. Stewardship responsibilities include: business cases analysis, construction, production implementation and support, enhancement, and sun-setting of enterprise applications. ADAPTS manages internal application development projects. ADAPTS receives applications into the portfolio produced or enhanced by our external partners. ADAPTS manages the lifecycle of the enterprise application portfolio including: modernization, merged functionality, enhancing or sun-setting.

Contract & Project Management (CPM)
The Contract & Project Management team manages the Business Systems Support Office (BSSO) External Projects and Contractual Services Staff Augmentation Activities and Budget. CPM provides oversight in the creation of procurement documents for External Projects and Staff Augmentation including: Planning, Organizing and Coordinating external projects to ensure collaboration between the contracted vendors, the customer and the BSSO. This includes overall scheduling, organization and coordination of product reviews; successful on time and on budget delivery of expected solutions. CPM is accountable for fair advertising, tracking vendor performance, selecting candidates and creation of Purchase Orders and managing the Contractual Services budget.

Multimedia & Portfolio Solutions (MPS)
Manage the Department’s enterprise application portfolios, the Business Systems Support Office’s (BSSO) perennial work program, budget and performance metrics, and project and application repositories. MPS develops and analyzes results related to the BSSO unit plan metrics, employee surveys, customer service surveys, etc. MPS produces computer based training and multimedia products to support the Department’s overall mission. Standards and Quality Management (SQM)
The Standards and Quality Management Team (including the Operations Review and Governance Team) supports the mission of OIT, BSSO, and the Department by implementing standards, policies, procedures, business analysis, quality practices, and coordination of audit responses to assure the quality of OIT programs. SQM coordinates and facilitates strategic planning activities and oversees development and maintenance of IT Policies, procedures, and standards. The team performs quality assurance reviews and quality inspections. It provides oversight of external IT projects in the areas of business analysis, software quality assurance, and web standards. SQM assists OIT business partners with the development of business cases and scope definition of high level business and functional requirements. The team provides enterprise-level support for internet and intranet, and manages content of internal BSSO SharePoint sites.

Strategic Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure (SEAIT)
The Strategic Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure team advances and supports enterprise infrastructure and application architecture to assist the department in successfully building and supporting applications on an Enterprise level. SEAIT provides services and support of Database Platforms, Business Intelligence, Windows Servers, EDMS, GIS and the FEL libraries.
