Office of Environmental Management Overview

The role of the FDOT Office of Environmental Management (OEM) is to develop and ensure the implementation of quality environmental policies, procedures and practices in the development of transportation improvements through each of the Department's core processes: plan, produce, deliver and maintain. Establish policy and procedures to ensure implementation of environmental programs and initiatives of the Department. Coordinate with federal and state environmental resource and regulatory agencies in the development and implementation of environmental processes and procedures consistent with environmental laws and regulations to assist the Department in achieving its mission.

Our Vision:

The Office of Environmental Management leads in planning, developing and implementing environmental programs for transportation projects and facilities in support of the Department's mission that promote and preserve Florida's environmental quality, community values, and economic prosperity.

Our Mission:

The mission of the Office of Environmental Management is to establish consistent, predictable and repeatable environmental policies, procedures and programs that promote and preserve Florida's environmental quality, community values, and economic prosperity in support of implementing Department's programs and projects.
