Road to Leadership Program

For over 30 years, FDOT has invested in growing its employees to be leadership-ready supervisors, managers, and senior managers with its statewide Road to Leadership program. The program includes four successive academies:

Supervisors Academy begins the road to leadership by preparing attendees to manage direct reports. This academy is required for all FDOT supervisors.

Management Academy builds on the foundations of Supervisors Academy by focusing on managing teams and projects.

Leadership Academy focuses on managers in Senior Management Service and Selected Exempt Service positions. It is delivered in association with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).

Graduate Leadership Academy offers an opportunity to train and work with FDOT’s Executive Team to explore current programs and challenges facing the Department. It is also delivered in association with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).
